In the style of a Jeckell Island Italianate and enshrouded by retaining walls sculpting the sand dunes,
Live Oaks , and Pallmetto trees , this home is
enchanted with the spirit of low country living.

of resort shingle style detailing and classic low

is on Cassique Golf Course, designed to reflect
a circa. 1910 English Cotswold manor house,
which is the theme of the entire development.

The following four houses are examples of
Nevil's signature "Tropical Shingle Style" which
introduces the concept of lowering the cedar shingles
below the first floor, allowing the house to lower
into the landscape, nestled into it's maritime forest
environment. |

Kiawah Island's lots are often challenging
to place a house amidst the live oaks, but some of
the most dramatic homes are enshrouded by the tree
canopy. (It makes them very difficult to photograph
however) |

Comfortable designing in most styles,another
strength in Nevil's experience is "Charleston Style"
colonial homes. Six of his projects have been classic
low country colonials, each unique to it's owners and
it's site. |
